A time for celebration and family, the YCIS Moon Festival brings together staff, students, parents, alumni and friends to enjoy games, food and fun. Children enjoyed visiting stations to fill up their passports for a tea egg prize. Among the games and activities were making moon cakes, ping pong toss, archery, origami, chalk art, egg and spoon races, scratch art and musical jeopardy. The YCIS middle school students also presented two showings of their bilingual puppet show recounting the tale of Chang E, the Chinese goddess of the moon.
With over 500 visitors enjoying the festivities, this was our largest Moon Festival yet! Thank you to all our wonderful teachers for the fun activities, to our parent volunteers for helping with set up, to our wonderful middle school puppeteers and, most of all, to our families and friends who bring joy to our community.
