YCIS Silicon Valley joined thousands of Yew Chung and Yew Wah students and staff across the globe celebrating 85 years on Founder’s Day 2017. Three students sent greetings from California during the live video kick-off event broadcasting to all YCIS campuses in Hong Kong and mainland China on October 12. On October 13, celebrations continued with classroom activities around the number 85, birthday songs, stories and games. Our K-8 students ended the day with a campus-wide birthday party assembly and treats.  Preschoolers enjoyed a day full of Happy Birthday activities. They made cards, posters, birthday hats, shared healthy yogurt parfait snacks and sang the birthday song for our school!
