Hurricane Harvey Fundraising event

Compassionate 4th Graders Fundraise for Hurricane Harvey Relief

Inspired to do something about the tragedy unfolding in Houston, Texas as a result of Hurricane Harvey, 4th grade friends took the initiative to help. After discussing options to assist with Hurricane Harvey relief with their parents and classmates, they decided to have a bake sale to raise funds. The whole class was galvanized to help make and sell sweet treats. The after-school bake sale raised over $1,000 to support the 40 affected families of Houston school district’s Mandarin Immersion Magnet School. We are so proud of how our students put their empathy in action!

The 4th graders were recognized for their efforts in the Los Altos Town Crier.
