“I have lived in the Bay Area for 16 years. I enjoy cooking, gardening, and flower arrangement. I chose YCIS because it’s closer to my home. I also like storytelling and leading singing lessons. In teaching, I prefer object-based instruction; for example, when teaching about fruit, I bring actual fruit to the children and explain it to them. The advantages of bilingual teaching include providing children exposure to two languages.”
