“The program here at YCIS is unique and wonderful! I am proud to be included in the community of students, teachers, administrators, and families at YCIS. There is never a lack of collaboration, especially between the English teachers and the Chinese teachers and support for ourselves or for our students. I truly enjoy teaching here and I believe the students truly enjoy learning.”

“I chose YCIS because I liked that the school promotes Co-Teaching partnerships with English and Chinese-speaking teachers working as a team. Together, we create a joyful, bilingual environment to prepare students to become competent in English and Chinese, as well as internationally-minded for a competitive future. I really enjoy working in this big YCIS family.”

“I started with YCIS as a Chinese substitute teacher and became full time for its unique bilingual environment with the balance of two languages. The small class size gives me the opportunity to know each student, to pay attention not only to students’ Chinese but also guiding students as a whole person. I love to learn new techniques to improve students’ learning experiences. The teachers, administrators, and families’ support strengthen me professionally and create a bond in the community.”

“Once I started working at YCIS, I never wanted to leave. YCIS is like a family to me and I love working with everyone here. I feel like I have a purpose coming to school every day in order to make a difference and have a positive impact on my students. At the same time, I never stop learning from my co-workers who are always willing to share and help. The leaders care about the teachers and the teachers care about their students. I am thrilled my son has received an education here at YCIS since preschool.”

“I feel very lucky to work at YCIS because of our community. YCIS and our parents work closely in partnership because we care about the environment in which our students will learn and grow. What I appreciate and love the most about YCIS is that we learn and grow together with the children under our care. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to positively impact my students and make a difference in their education. I am extremely proud that YCIS is a program that provides a warm, loving, fun and explorative environment for all children, as well as a sense of security and peace of mind for the parents.”

“There is a definite feeling of exhilaration in YCIS that cannot be felt in many other environments. Students are eager to learn new things, which makes my job exciting and rewarding. YCIS offers students a great bilingual education that blends the best of the eastern and western traditions with creativity. Students not only gain competency in two languages, but also become culturally aware for life. As well as supporting students to become bilingual, small class sizes help me to know the students better, deliver more personalized attention to each student, and create an environment which can support the well-being of the whole child.”

“I enjoy working for a preschool with an international setting. I like the fact that the children are immersed in the Eastern and Western cultures whilst acquiring a high proficiency in English and Chinese. Our students gain a new and profoundly deep appreciation of the two spectrums. I truly appreciate our responsibility to provide a diverse learning environment, welcoming students from all backgrounds.”
