“YCIS feels like home away from home. The sense of community one gets from being here is astounding. I have worked at many schools so I can say with confidence that the students and parents here are phenomenal. They are extremely supportive and generous in many ways. I cannot begin to thank them enough for all they do. My favorite thing about working here is the diversity. We have many students who besides speaking Mandarin, also speak several other languages. It’s all very impressive!”

“I choose YCIS because I like that the school promotes co-teaching partnerships with English and Chinese teachers in a bilingual environment. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work in YCIS. I am so glad to work with all the wonderful teachers and parents and staff members. I love YCIS and like to do whatever I can to make YCIS better and better. My goals for our students are to create a culture-rich Chinese and English language learning environment, develop children’s abilities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing with both languages and facilitate children’s verbal communication to express and communicate themselves effectively.”

“The moment I stepped foot onto the YCIS Preschool Campus, it felt right. I knew this was the place for me. You could immediately see how much the teachers cared for the students and their families, and how much the entire team worked together to collaborate and support each other. I chose to work at YCIS because I strongly believe in educating the whole child. I really enjoy working in such a diverse environment where I get to co-teach and introduce children to a new language as well as bridge and meld cultures together. “I was first drawn to YCIS when I learned about its dual language program and approach to educating the whole child. What continues to amaze me about YCIS is the close community of staff, students, and families. This environment makes it easy for teachers to stay passionate and motivated to give the children who enroll in this school the best education possible. “When I joined the YCIS community in 2006, I was immediately immersed into another world. YCIS is different than the typical school and has taught me a lot about education. It has grown tremendously since and it has been a pleasure watching the program evolve. This is a place where children are encouraged to learn, explore and grow while under the care of nurturing individuals. I have enjoyed many experiences here and have been extremely fortunate to work with amazing colleagues and families who offer never-ending support.”

“I joined YCIS Silicon Valley in 2003. I like YCIS’s uniqueness of blending West and East. A culturally rich world classroom makes school learning much more meaningful and enjoyable. In my years with YCIS, I have witnessed respecting individual learners and promoting multiple-intelligence development to allow each student to develop their own individual talents. At YCIS, I have experienced how a learning community greatly benefits all its members. YCIS students, staff, even our parents and family members are greatly encouraged and supported to seek and explore knowledge, to foster individual and collaborative skills. I enjoy my everyday working, learning and growing at YCIS. We welcome you to join us. We will be very honored to assist your family and guide our young learners as they start their amazing educational journey! See you at YCIS!”

“I joined YCIS in 2007 because I like the bilingual education that it provides students. Our students get the unique chance to be introduced to two languages that fully embody their own sophisticated cultures. I enjoy interacting with children and teaching them about the culture that I was immersed in as a child. I love watching children grow as an individual in the early years.
